Annex Cottage in an Idyllic Village and part of a beautiful English Georgian house

Our traditional stone holiday cottage is available for non simultaneous holidays. It is set in a courtyard within the grounds of our beautiful English home. It is very safe for young children due to the gated entrance. There is seating available for alfresco eating. There is a modern and recently fitted bathroom and kitchen, comfortable snug with TV, books, games and midi system which offer comfortable and relaxing spaces to suit friends and family of any age. Stairs and steps are not steep. Two double bedrooms are fitted with sinks.

About the location

The village has been described as a `chocolate box` setting; offering a local pub within easy walking distance, a beautiful church and a village hall. The gorgeous area offers walks along the Tees Way and cycle rides along the W2W. There are many routes around several villages that offer stunning scenery. Shops can be accessed by car and there is even a bus which runs twice a day. There is a walk to Barnard Castle along the river Tees which is frequented by our family. There are a number of great restaurants to include: Indian, Italian, Spanish and many bars and cafes. The famous and beautiful Bowes Museum celebrates 125 years in 2017.
