The Dairy is our holiday home, a converted stone built barn, and was recently graded as 5 Star Gold by visit England.
Laid out on mainly ground floor, in a C shape around an outdoor seating area with 8 seater wooden picnic table. There is one bedroom with ensuite to the first floor which is the only room with radiators rather than underfloor heating. The main bedroom has an ensuite too which includes a jacuzzi bath. The two additional bedrooms share a large walk in shower room. Each room is furnished and presented to a high standard and has a King Size bed.
The large well-equipped breakfasting/ dining room looks out through a large traditional arched window onto the outdoor are, to the grass area beyond and then onto a paddock where 3 pet alpacas graze.
The TV room has two arched windows looking out over the grass to the paddock. A log burning stove is yours to use along with an endless supply of logs!
A half glazed Games room links the TV room to the rest of the house and has an antique Pool Table, Sonos System, and `Selfie / Dressing Up Station`.
There is an additional loo in the entrance hallway.
The property is pet friendly and child friendly. Gardens front and rear are fenced off. There are indoor games in the TV room and outdoor games in the outdoor storage.
A utility room houses a washing machine and dryer, vacuum etc.
For an additional charge we can organise a mid stay clean and/or linen change.
About the location
We have all of the benefits of being in a rural area whilst also being able to access main travels routes easily, making exploring Northumberland very easy - a car is essential as we are not on a bus route.
Within a few minutes drive you can access clay shooting, horse riding, fishing, golf, a spa and a light aircraft field where tours of Northumberland can be booked.
We are equidistant from 3 villages - all around 5 minutes drive- which between them offer village shops, cafe`s, and pubs.
Our beaches are within in easy reach to the west, the nearest being Druridge and Cresswell at about a 15-20 minute drive.
Our nearest towns are Alnwick, 15 minutes north and Morpeth, 15 minutes South. A train ride from Morpeth will take you to Edinburgh via our beautiful coastline. Newcastle is a 30 minute drive South and offers museums, theatre etc
